Enjoying the Small Things
Enjoy the good things in life no matter how small. This was a phrase that was told to me since birth and I've never truly comprehended it until now. I've felt depressed for quite some time due to the idiocy of the members of my hall, my average grades in college, and my simple boring life. I've trudged to class day after day and felt like nothing would ever change. Sure, I ask for aid with my studies--I'm really good at the homework but for some reason I just suck on tests--and try to find new and better things in my livelyhood; however, such matters still seem to have no effect in the end. I was grief-stricken at this thought and wondered why am I here. But, while in my university's cafeteria yesterday, I noticed that one of the chefs had made a special pizza that was only going to given out that day. I thought to myself, "what the hell? I'll go and take a couple of slices of this seafood pizza." It was a small thing consisting of thin crust, crab meat, shrimp, and seaweed. I didn't think much of it at first, but when I took a bite, I was overwhelmed with the feelings of the person who made it. I dropped my slice and ran to the area where I found the dish begging to thank the people who created such a concoction. They appreciated the heart-felt words of mine and sent me about my business. Later, I asked myself "why couldn't I make something like this?" It was simple. I was so focused in the negative that I couldn't see the joy that lay before my eyes; therefore, I must say to anyone who reads this to always look at the bright side of things even when the world may seem like Hell. I promise that things will be get a little better all the time.

Struggles
Living, breathing, walking absent-mindedly for hours on end, and other random crap that I just felt like doing are a part of my everyday life. Why do I constantly seem to be decending into madness with every step that I orchestrate? I'm like a ship in the eye of the storm. No matter where I go danger will attack my hull. I'm living it up in college, but recently things have kinda sucked. I've been screwed over time and time again. This is possibly some of the hardest ordeals I've ever faced. I'm trying to find help so I can keep my scholarships and prevail in life, but nature seems to be constantly against me. I'm still wondering as to why I haven't crashed yet. I guess I can thank my parents for raising me to be as tenacious and hard-working as I am; however, I seem to have fallen into a trial that would appear impossible to face. When such struggles and strife drag this measly vessel, stress appears to overthrow the engines. I will not give into my doubts; although, it would help if someone would ally with me. Maybe I should attempt a little at alliance formations and other such group related organizations. I have decided to pass my classes and to succeed. May God forever take care of me until my conflicts cease.
